Horace Randolph Edwards passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, in Jacksonville, FL.

Horace was born to Selena Belle Ellis Edwards and Norris Randolph Edwards on October 13, 1930, at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA. He graduated from Warwick High School and Smithdeal-Massey Business College. After his graduation from Smithdeal-Massey, Horace worked at Newport News Shipbuilding and retired as a Senior Payroll Clerk. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Newport News.

Horace was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Norris Wesley Edwards, and is survived by his wife Sarah Yvonne Patterson Edwards; three sons, David Randolph Edwards, Kerry McKay Edwards (Ann), and Alan Wesley Edwards (Tomoko); daughter, Amanda Edwards Birch (Michael); grandchildren, Ian Edwards, Sarah Margaret Delvers, Rhys Edwards, Ashlea Edwards, Kyle Edwards, Lauren Birch, Alan Birch; and great-granddaughter River Delvers.

A graveside service will take place at Peninsula Memorial Park on Saturday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The CDC highly recommends masks for inside gatherings.
