Gloria P. Bruce, 78, passed away on February 14, 2021. She was a native of Burkeville, VA, and had been a peninsula resident for nearly 60 years.

Gloria is survived by her son, Rick Daulton of Lancaster, KY; brother, G.W. Pace, Jr. and his wife, Charlene of Crewe, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. Pace, Sr. and Edith Pace. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Forrest F. Bruce. They shared many happy years together, travelling and enjoying NASCAR races and special times spent with family.

Gloria was a very social person and had many friends. She loved going to dinner with friends, dancing with local dance clubs, and shopping. She held several administrative assistance positions over the years, most recently, with Landmark Appraisals, where she retired. Gloria was a former member of Liberty Baptist Church and attended Northside Christian Church.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Peninsula Memorial Park. Guests are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Gloria.
