Gerald “Jerry” David Blose Jr, 60, passed away peacefully at home on July 30th 2022. Funeral visitation service will be held Thursday August 4th from 6PM-7:30PM at Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News, VA.

Mr. Blose was a family man, a hard worker, and an avid outdoorsman. He served as a outside machinist for the Newport News Shipyard for 38 years. He will be remembered for his good nature, smile, and sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Patricia Mae Blose, stepmother Mildred Seabolt, two sons Andrew Shiflet (wife Alisha Shiflet) and Alexander Blose (wife Kenna Blose), one daughter Arley Shiflet (husband Nigel Hoyt), four grandchildren Brantlee Edmunds, Bennett Shiflet, Tommie Blose, and Lawrence Woods, two brothers Danny Blose and Douglas Blose (wife Brandy Blose), and life long friend Wade Ferguson (wife Denise Ferguson.)
