George Simpson, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. George was born January 12, 1938 in Bessemer Alabama. George lived in Snellville, GA and surrounding area for over 40 years before moving to Bloomingdale, GA.

Mr. Simpson was a certified electrician and HVAC technician. He retired from Sears after about 33 years of service. George was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.

Mr. Simpson was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Ann Russell Simpson, father George Franklin Simpson Sr., mother Letitia Lee Morgan Simpson and brother Gerald Wayne Simpson Sr.

Mr. Simpson is survived by his children George Russell Simpson, Robert Simpson, Christopher Simpson, Tina Simpson, and grandchildren, Tasha Courier, Alyssa Simpson, Tyler Anderson, Emma Anderson and Dani Adams and great grandchild, Victoria Courier. Also, survived by a sister Nadyne Bruso and niece Kimberli Bruso, nephews Gerald Wayne Simpson Jr. and Brian Simpson, and grand nieces and nephews Alois Alford and Richard Jennings.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Families First Funeral Care in Savannah. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park.
