Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann  Chalmers, 57, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021. She was a devoted employee of Newport News Shipbuilding for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph H. Chalmers and Peggy Fugate Chalmers, and her brother, Joseph H. “Jody” Chalmers, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Robin Chalmers Vinson, and husband, Stanley Vinson; and her nephews Tom Vinson and Robert Vinson.

A private burial will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to The Cat Corner, Inc., 85 Fulton Street, Hampton, VA 23663. Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
