Duane Padrick, 62, of Newport News, VA, passed away on January 25, 2024. He was born on March 30, 1961, in Wilson, North Carolina. Duane served his country with honor and distinction, dedicating 23 years of his life to the United States Air Force. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2007 after a successful career.

Duane graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 1983, earning a civil engineering degree. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Force, and throughout his military service, he and his family were stationed in various locations, including Montgomery, AL, San Antonio, TX, Washington D.C., Naples, IT, Stuttgart, GE, and finally Newport News, VA.

After retiring from the military, Duane continued his professional journey, working as a Senior Associate for Systems Planning and Analysis at NATO Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk. His dedication and expertise were highly valued by his colleagues.

Duane is survived by his wife, Anne McIntyre of Perth, Ontario, CA; his daughter, Madison Justice (Cory), and granddaughter, Henley of Huntersville, NC; his brothers, Larry Padrick (Carol), Bryan Padrick, and Chris Padrick. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy Padrick; his father, Alvin Padrick; and mother, Linda Jones Padrick.

Memorial services for Duane Padrick will be held at a later date and are entrusted to the care of Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News.
