Dorothy F. Clement, 93, passed away in her home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was a native of Henrico County and has been a resident of Newport News for 80 years. Dorothy worked as a Title Clerk for Hall Ford, where she retired after 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Newport News. Dorothy was an essential member of the newly established Courthouse Green Community in Newport News, where she served as the Operations Manager and eventually Co-chair of the Homeowners Association for 20 years. She enjoyed welcoming the families into their new homes. She was elected President of the Homeowners Association in 2000, which she took pride in for ten years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, William (Bill) Clement; sister, Catherine; and brothers Thomas, Roger, James, Ken, and Douglas Farrand.

She is survived by her niece, Teresa Setterholm (Richard); great-nieces, Cassandra Harris, and Melissa Jordan (Toby); great-nephews, Timothy Gibson (Kira) and Chris Setterholm (Amanda); great-great nieces and nephews, Rhilynne, Madilynne, Seth, Tacoma, Connor C., Alex, Jamie, and Connor J.; and sister-in-law Betty Farrand.

A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Gus Diggs.
