I met Doris in the 1970’s 50 years ago. Back then she excepted me as part of her family and always continued for many more right up to last week. She was a good Grandmother to my daughter (Rikki) as well as to my Granddaughter (Shay) later in life. Many things have changed over the years with family situations however I have many memories of this lady. She many times was like a second Mother to me and always welcomed me into her home as well as in her life. I visited her Saturday May 20th and she seemed happy as always to see me. She would always ask how I was doing. After my visit I gave her a hug and told her I loved her. That was a very special hug for me for many reasons . I’m thankful for Doris much more than I could ever put into this page. She would sometimes keep you guessing what she was thinking and most definitely would tell you of you needed to know. She lived a good long life. In her last few months she was well taking care of in her home and I’m sure she was at peace when she passed.
I’m sure hope Barney was ready . I will miss them both !
Karen and Rikki – I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a sweet person and she was a part of the old PGPC family!! I will keep you in my prayers.
