Charles C. Meekins, Sr., 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at his home.  He was a native of Norfolk, VA, and had been a resident of Newport News for 65 years.  Charles was a Plant Supervisor at Air Products and Chemicals for 23 years. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Curtis and Eleanor Pumphrey, and his brother, Edward Meekins.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Kay Meekins; daughter, Sharon Musselwhite (Harrison); sons, Charles C. Meekins, Jr. (Sandra), Bryan K. Meekins, and Michael W. Meekins; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.  Facial masks and social distancing will be required.
