Carroll W. Laity, age 84, passed away on January 26, 2021, from heart failure. He was a resident of Newport News and originally from North Carolina.  He retired from the USAF after 20 years of distinguished service and later from MARCO Supply Co after another 20 years.  He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Hampton VA.

Carroll was preceded in death by his mother, M. Elizabeth Long, father, Harry Laity (Annie Mae), brother, Raymond Laity, sister, Margaret Long, and daughter, Kim Stafford.  Carroll is survived by his wife of 35 years Roberta (Robbie) Laity; sons, Bryan Laity, David Laity, and Todd Laity (Sandy); granddaughters, Margaret Johnson (Brian), Magann Evans (Cliff), Sarah Laity, and Grace Laity; and four great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID, a private family service will be held at the Alford G. Horton Jr Veterans Memorial Cometary at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, St Jude’s, or ASPCA.
