Amber Lynn Ortegon
Amber Lynn Ortegon of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was born in Columbus, Georgia on October 21, 1987.
Amber enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was a nature lover and cared deeply for the environment and all living things.
Amber is survived by her soulmate, Doug Shaw of Newport News; parents, Michael and Sandra Blandford of Myrtle Beach, SC, Eric and Barbara Ortegon of Littleton, CO; and three brothers, Bobby Ortegon, Michael J. Blandford, and Kyle Blandford.
A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.

I have nothing but good memories when I think of you Amber, I saved those notes you used to leave on my windshield when you worked next to me, I’ll share them when I come across them again. I wish we would have had more time living in the same area- I’d do anything to ride around with you and the music up again. How young and completely care free we were! I know you’re looking out for us now. I love you!
