Agnes Wilkie Rodgers
Agnes Wilkie Rodgers was born on September 23, 1920, and passed away to be with Ranny and the lord on August 10, 2024. A native of Newport News, Virginia, she graduated from Newport News High School and attended Mary Washington University. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Newport News, a member of the Bithynia Sunday School Class, the Bible School Class, and a Sunday School Teacher in the children’s division. Agnes was also a member of the Newport News Jr. Woman’s Club, Warwick Yacht Club, and a Girl Scout leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Randolph Rodgers (Ranny); daughter, Margaret Lee Keesecker; grandson, Randy Keesecker; and son-in-law, Conrad Keesecker.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Beth Keesecker; a niece, Carol Peres; three great-nieces, Joy, May, and Suzy; three great-great nephews, Joshua, Benjamin, and Logan; and two great-great-nieces, Madalen and Elleya.
Pastor John Price will conduct graveside services in Peninsula Memorial Park on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11 a.m.
Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
