Paul Stuart Rabinowitz, 59, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Alexandria, Virginia. Born on May 17, 1966, in Hampton, Virginia, Paul lived a life marked by joy, resilience, and deep devotion to those he loved.
For four decades, Paul shared his life with his beloved wife Susan Rabinowitz. Their enduring bond was the cornerstone of his world. He adored Susan with all his heart and cherished every moment they spent together—whether traveling to their favorite destinations or simply enjoying each other’s company at home.
Paul approached life with an infectious enthusiasm. He worked hard but always made time for the things that brought him happiness. A true lover of life’s simple pleasures, he had a true fondness for pizza, a fascination with weather and our climate, and an enduring curiosity about sharks—tracking them became one of his favorite pastimes. The beach was his sanctuary; he found peace and joy along the shorelines he visited, especially in St. Martin, which held a special place in his heart.
Despite facing health challenges in recent years, Paul never let them define him. His spirit remained vibrant and adventurous. He continued to travel and embrace life fully, always finding beauty in the world around him.
Paul was a kind and loving soul whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him deeply.
He is survived by his devoted wife Susan Rabinowitz; his brothers Arthur Rabinowitz (Lisa) and Alec Rabinowitz (Amy); nephews Noah Rabinowitz (Samantha), Charles Rabinowitz (Bethany), Andrew Rabinowitz; and niece Sadie Hoyt. He is also survived by a multitude of friends and other family members, too numerous to list. May we all be so fortunate!
He was preceded in death by his parents Blanche and Lawrence Rabinowitz and his brother David Rabinowitz.
May Paul’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him. A Funeral Service will be held on February 10, 2026, at 01:30 PM at Peninsula Funeral Home 11144 Warwick Blvd. A Graveside Service will be held on February 10, 2026 at The Jewish Cemetery of the Virginia Peninsula 1817 Kecoughtan Road.
