Sue Hale, my wife had the privilege of working with Nancy and Dr Ramon Amore as a Med Tech in the 1970’s, while husband Ed was busy refitting the nuclear submarine he was part of, or away on patrol. Nancy, husband Bob, and family supported us as extended parts of the Mitchel family. And we are still family today! We wish Nancy, Gods peace and eternal rest, We love you all dearly and offer our condolences and prayers!!

Nancy was like a surrogate Mother to me as a young Navy/submariner wife. We were coworkers for Dr. Ramon Amour, she invited me to her home. I will always be grateful for that! She taught me what southern hospitality was, Ed and I have never forgotten. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the whole family… I knew I was in when Dad said upon my arrival “give me sugar” which was a hug or kiss as appropriate! David, Mark and Jennifer became very special to me too, I have the fondest memories of our shared time together. Distance separated us but the fondness and love has endured. Our lives are the better for you having found me! Ed and I grieve with you, may your memories sustain you as you go thru this difficult time, know others cry from afar. May Nancy fly on wings of angels to God’s heavenly kingdom she has truly earned eternal rest and peace.
Ed and I hope to see you all as soon as possible… in the mean time know are prayers and love are with you all.
    Love,
    Sue and Ed

I had the pleasure of working with Nancy at Dr. Baggs and Amor’s Office from 1979 to the 1990’s. She always had a smile and she had a great sense of humor. The Office Staff had a great working relationship and we all became like family. She was an excellent nurse and was loved by her patients. We pray for comfort for her family and will always remember Nancy with love and wonderful memories.

David, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mother.
Your mom, our former den mother has a special place in my heart as well as my former Cub Scout friends. Your mom was the epitome of a caring and selfless servant of God. She no doubt will reap many treasures in heaven.
God bless her, you and your family.

I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Nancy at Trinity Lutheran School. She was a wonderful person and helper. She always had something positive to say and was easy to talk to. The students loved her too. Once she retired I would drop by her house in Hilton to see her. She was so welcoming and friendly. She will and has been missed.
    Well done faithful servant.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be lead forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the the field shall clap their hands.

I had the privilege of meeting Nancy through 3 of her wonderful grandchildren. She was the ultimate Nana! Her love for her family was obvious! She extended that love to all who knew her! She was kind, compassionate and so much fun! Her legacy will live on to all who knew her! Rest in peace!
