Christine is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Carolyn Adell Douglas Schaubach, and her husband, James Franklin “Frank” Schaubach; two loving grandsons, Douglas Scott Schaubach and Bryan Marc Schaubach and his wife Olivia; four great-grandchildren whom she adored, Heather Lee Schaubach and husband Tony, Micah Trevor Schaubach, Ryan Seth Schaubach, and Chloe Evelyn Schaubach. She was blessed with many special nieces and nephews who brought much love and happiness into her life, Candace and Ronnie, John Albert (Jam) and Wayne, Dell and David, Cecilia and Fred, Marilyn, Harry and David, Anne, James (deceased) and Anne,  David and Annette, Betty (deceased), Billy (deceased) and Judy, Keith and Donna, Amy and Fred.

She always believed that she was blessed with a very special mother-daughter relationship and bond with her daughter Carolyn and that love and inspirational blessings constantly flowed between them.

A special blessing in her life were her neighbors and friends, Jenny and Bob, Joanie, Jane and Bill, Tom and Betty, Hazel, Barbara and David of Texas, who always referred to her as their “Virginia Mom,” Bonnie Witman of Sacramento, CA and Dr. “B” and Mary of Dallas, Texas, and many others.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service, officiated by the beloved Reverend Linwood Wells, following at 12:00 p.m. at Hilton Baptist Church, 101 Main Street, Newport News, Virginia. I met Chris through my mother in law, Lee Marks. Lee and Chris met and worked together at Hastings-Raydist. They remained the closest of friends until Lee’s death. Chris was without a doubt the most kind and sincere person I have ever met. Prayers for her family and those who cared for her.
