Jean and I were in exercise classes together for many years. I always enjoyed our conversations and occasional lunches. My sympathy to her family.
I enjoyed being with Jean in our Silver Sneakers class at the Newport News YMCA for many years. I want to extend my sympathies to her family.
I worked with both James and Tim at Warwick, we were neighbors one street over, Mrs Rice would always walk around the neighborhoods getting her exercise in, chatting occasionally. She will be missed.
Our condolences to the Rice Family
Ron, John and Jason Lisjack
I have such fond memories of talking with her on her walks, as well.
Steph I am so sorry but you know she is finally at peace and hopefully you will be soon❤️ Prayers to you and your family
Jean and I went to Aldersgate Methodist church many years ago. I believe you could say we were born there. She was such a very special lady. She always sat at her favorite seat in church and always gave you a hug and welcoming you at the church. Bud and I thought a lot of Jean. Now she has joined my Bud in Heaven and what a rejoicing they are having. My prayers and blessings go to the children. Mrs. Joyce Good D’Bene
To Jean’s family, I can’t remember a time when she wasn’t a neighbor. It’s been a minute or two and they slipped by so quickly. You are all in my prayers, that you find peace and comfort in knowing she is a peace.
I had pleasure of taking care of Ms. Jean. She reminded me of my grandmother so funny and sweet. She welcomed me with open arms take care of her. It was never a dull moment she asked me every time Are you coming back?. I said yes Ms. Jean she said I would love for something sweet I said no problem. I laughed and she smiled. Your at peace sleep well. My condolences Tim, Cheryl, and Family.
Jean Rice will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother and Christian lady. She was a blessing to us in so many ways and we will always have good memories of her caring spirit for her mother, husband and children. We enjoyed our times together. Loved her doll collection! May the peace of God be with her family. Rick and Betty Jacobson.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rice family as they work through this difficult. It is comforting to know that Jean is resting comfortably next to our almighty savior
