Lindsey W. Lowe

Lindsey W. Lowe passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in Newport News, Va., after a long illness. Lindsey graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College and the NASA-LaRC Apprentice School. Lindsey worked many happy years as an Engineering Technician at NASA Langley Research Center, retiring in 2020 with 40 years of service.

Lindsey was preceded in death by his father, Frederick O. Lowe and mother, Edith M. Lowe. He is survived by his sister, Gail Lanning; brother, Allen Lowe (Lillie); and nephew, Todd Lanning (Stephanie); plus, many cousins.

A private memorial service will be held for Lindsey’s immediate family members at a later date. Memorial contributions in Lindsey’s name may be made to your charity of choice.

    So sorry to hear of Lindsey’s passing. I remember him well as his brother Allen and I ran around pretty much since we all lived in FOX HILL!

    Im so sorry for the loss of Lindsey-I remember the night he was born on ground hog day-it was a surprise for everyone-he did well in his job and education-was a smart fellow and good cousin-to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord

    When we were growing up I remember him trick or treating. He’d be in one costume, go to the houses and get candy, then go home and change into another costume and go out again. He was always funny. Gail I’m Sandy Smithwicks sister. We lived on Eastlawn. Sorry to hear of his passing.
