Larry Wayne Folwell, 65 of Newport News, passed away on the evening of Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his home. He was the son of Helen H. and the late Charles D. Folwell, Sr. Larry graduated from Ferguson High School in 1976, Thomas Nelson Community College in 1980, and Old Dominion University in 1987. He worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Helen H. Folwell; Fiancé and Caretaker, Mary Beth Spaulding; a brother Charles D. Folwell, Jr. and wife Debra; niece, Katie Corrado, and husband Brandon; nephew, Michael C. Folwell; uncle and aunt, Jim and Edith Mears; and cousins, Doug Mears and Rhonda Passaro.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd. Newport News, VA.
