Margaret L. Wheeler
Margaret L. Wheeler passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in her home. She was a native of Virginia Beach and a resident of Newport News for forty years. Margaret worked as a Daycare Administrator for Lollipop Lane for twenty-five years. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Newport News. Margaret enjoyed listening to Gospel music and Elvis Presley.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert W. Johnson.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Douglas L. Wheeler, two sons, Jeffery Johnson (Felica), and Michael Johnson (Angela); sisters, Carolyn Johnston, and Sandra Waterfield; four grandchildren, Jennifer Puyear, Robert Douglas Johnson, Ellissa Johnson, Eira Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Pearl Lynn Puyear, Joseph Allen Puyear, and Shelby A. Johnson.
She loved her family and was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother.
