Michael Henley Voight was born on April 26, 1954, to Joseph Henley Voight and Leah Jo Voight. He passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, due to a sudden illness.

In life, Michael achieved the level of Master Shipbuilder at Newport News Shipbuilding. In his free time, he loved working on his classic cars, hot rods, and his motorcycles. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he had a ritual of attending family dinner with his mother every Tuesday night.  He was an amazing man, was very loved, and will be deeply missed.

He was predeceased by his sister Deborah Price Abbott who passed on October 31, 2022.  His mother, Leah Voight passed after him on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Michael is survived by his nieces Nicol Price and Leah Johnson as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his closest friends Michael and Nancy Olsen, and Paul French.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 18 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
