Ilonda P. Gregory, 70, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was a native of Newport News, Virginia, and had been a resident of Hampton for many years. Ilonda’s passion for healthcare began in the 1970s as a Radiologic Technologist, becoming a well-loved and respected instructor at the Riverside College of Health Careers, where she retired in 2015.

Ilonda was a lifelong learner, a talented seamstress, a natural teacher, and a guiding lighthouse to many. She loved people and was passionate about helping to grow and develop others.

Ilonda was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Clyde Gregory, Jr; and her sister Kathy Netherland. She is survived by her son, Michael Payne Gregory; granddaughter, Rainie C. Gregory; sister Nadien Smith (Paul); and brother John C. Payne (Alexandria).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church.
