Our beloved mother and Oma, Waltraud “Trudi” Robbins, 80, of Newport News, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was a native of Germany and a resident of Newport News for 49 years. She was a data entry specialist at Noland Company from which she retired after 20 years of service.

Trudi was preceded in death by her husband, Roger A. Robbins, sister Renate Scharrer and brother Dietmar Gronostay. She is survived by two daughters, Monika Gill (Dave Moore) and Tanja Robbins, both of Newport News; one grandson, Scott Robbins, and his wife Beverly of Newport News and one great-granddaughter Emiko “Emi” Robbins

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in Peninsula Memorial Park.
