Patricia Ann Cooper Ficklen passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was born August 10, 1939, and was a native of Newport News, graduate of Newport News High School, Class of 1958. Patricia worked for many years in the accounting field and she was a member of the former Calvary Baptist Church.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Ficklen, parents, Willie and Lora Cooper, siblings, Elwood and Mildred Cooper and Lucille Guthrie. She is survived by her cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Many special thanks to her long-time caregivers, Jeanette Clifton and LaDonya Morgan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to Peninsula Rescue Mission, 3700 Huntington Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607.

A private burial will be held in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
