Linda started her own residential cleaning company in 2007.   She loved traveling, dancing, singing, camping, and making memories with loved ones.   After giving her life to Christ in 1995, she became a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Yorktown in 1997.

 

When Linda walked into a room, her smile lit up the place. Her laughter could be heard from across the room; her feisty spirit was magnetic, and her heart was filled with nothing except her love for her Heavenly Father and others.   Most of her time was spent at church, on the beach, dancing on the boardwalk, or hiking – embracing the beauty of nature around her.

 

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James “Don” Edwards Jr., her mother, Sandra Louise Rutkowski, and her brother, Robert Rutkowski Sr.   She is survived by her daughter, Heather Robinson of York County, VA; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gabriel, and Draven of York County; brother, T.J. Rutkowski Jr. of Manchester Tennessee; three nephews; three nieces; a multitude of friends; and her beloved dog, Stormy.

 

The family will receive friends at Peninsula Funeral Home on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The CDC highly recommends masks for inside gatherings.  A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 11 at 11:00 a.m.  She requested you come as you are, just be modest.

 

Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
