Randy Chapman
Randy Chapman, 58, of Yorktown, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was a native of Monroe, Michigan, and had been a Peninsula resident since 1984. Randy was a foreman/checker for HRSA-ILA for over 20 years. He was a member of Breakthrough Worship Center in Yorktown. As a devoted family man, and loved home projects, building, and earned the nickname “Handy Randy”. He attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and during his college years, he was a trumpet player, playing jazz, and loved playing with the groups Power Unlimited and touring with the Spurrlows.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Buddy Chapman, and his father-in-law, C P Press. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shelley Chapman; children, Corey Chapman, Hayley Chapman, and Connor Chapman; sister, Lisa Rollman (Rick); brother, Jeff Chapman (Carolyn); mother-in-law, Carolyn Press; brothers-in-law, Mike Press (Linda) and Scott Press (Erica); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Breakthrough Worship Center, with a funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. at the church. The CDC highly recommends masks for inside gatherings. Interment will be held on Sunday, October 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park.

Randy was always a happy spot in my day when I would call him as timekeeper for Ceres . We would talk about how his children are doing and his next big trip . I will miss him greatly. I can not imagine you loss but you are blessed to have him in your life
