Gaetano “Tanino” Pipitó, 64, of Newport News, passed away on August 10, 2021. His life began in Palermo, Sicily on November 5, 1956, where he lived for most of his life as the eldest of three children. Tanino was a hard-working and much-loved father and husband who was passionate about Italian soccer and enjoyed collecting foreign currency.

 

Gaetano is survived by his loving wife, Linda of 29 years. He was a proud papá to his three children: Alessandra, Annabella, and Stefano. He will be deeply missed and remembered by family and friends.

 

The family invites friends on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601. The CDC highly recommends masks for inside gatherings.  Interment at Peninsula Memorial Park will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.
