Alice Wayne Holmes, 78, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her home in Newport News. She retired from Civil Service, Langley Air Force Base as a Resource Program Manager. She started as a stenographer in January 1962 and worked her way up to Resource Program Manager when she retired in 2010.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney Robert Pulley, Mildred Pryor Guthrie, and step-father, Ernest Guthrie.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in Peninsula Memorial Park, officiated by Dr. David Owen.
