Goldie Fox Williamson, wife of Courtney M. Williamson, went to be with the Lord on June 9,  2020. Goldie loved the Lord, her family, and Menchville Baptist Church, and was a faithful charter member of the church.

Goldie was born in Portsmouth, Virginia but lived in Newport News most of her life. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend to many people that she had met during her life.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Courtney, and her daughter Cynthia Guerin of Colorado.  Goldie is survived by her son, Jeffrey Williamson (wife Cathy) of Yorktown Virginia, daughter, Jenny Williamson of Palm Beach Florida.  Goldie had four grandchildren. Dawn Thrift, Arden Aylesworth, Zach Williamson, and Courtney Jean Williamson.  She had five great-grandchildren, James Thrift, Krystal Dungan, Michael Dungan, Arden Aylesworth III, and Mai Aylesworth.

A Memorial Service will be held by Pastor Jim Weston on Tuesday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Menchville Baptist Church.  Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, Virginia 23601.
