With heavy hearts our family regrets to announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ralph C. Hodges Jr. (AKA “Beebo” as some may recall). He passed away on May 6, 2021 at age 78. Ralph was born June 12, 1942 in Newport News, VA. His strength, sharp wit, sense of humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed. He will also be remembered as a simple man who worked hard and made an honest living. His 24 years of service to our country in the United States Army including his tours in Vietnam was honored and held with high regard.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Rosa G. Hodges; son, Elio O. Hodges; daughters, Isanela Lisa Burton and Rosemary Pearl; and grandchildren, who loved him deeply, Dandre Burton, Natalie Burton, Ilena McDonald, Irisa Hodges, Rosalita Hodges, and Alicia Ameneyro.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23606. Please enter through the Nettles Drive entrance.
