Juanita Inez Winstead, 69, passed away on April 18, 2021. She was born in Wilson, NC and was a resident of Newport News, VA for 40 years. Juanita received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, NC. She retired as an Instructional System Specialist for the U.S. Government-Civil Service after 30 years of service. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Thelton and Nellene Faye Godwin. She is survived by her husband, Danny Kirk Winstead; daughter, Melissa Carol Winstead, of Newport News; and sister, Carolyn Jean Walston of Wilson, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Peninsula Memorial Park. Guests are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
