Elizabeth (Betty) Taylor Peffer entered eternity on February 8, 2021. The daughter of the late Jessie Bounds Taylor and Gilbert E. Taylor, she was born June 10, 1933, in Newport News. She spent the last 23 years with her daughter and son-in-law in Virginia, Arizona, Florida, Connecticut, and North Carolina.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Pamela Beck LeClear; son-in-law, Joe LeClear; three granddaughters, Joy Marie Walker, Heather Crandell, Katie Cirilli; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Aidan, Adriana, Ezekiel, Dominic, Chase, Luca, and Neliz Madison; brother, Gilbert. E. Taylor, Jr. and his wife June; and nephew, Michael Taylor and his wife, Debbie.

“Granny” was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a deep spiritual love of God and had a loving and giving heart.

We will miss her warm beautiful smile.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12, at 3 PM at the Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Virginia. Facial masks and social distancing will be required.
