William Lee “Billy” Keeter, 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. He was a longtime native of Newport News.  Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He enjoyed spending his time gardening, fishing, listening, and playing Bluegrass.  Billy retired, after 44 years of service, from Newport News Shipbuilding.

Billy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Connie Davis Keeter, his parents, William R. Keeter and Lucille A. Keeter, and two siblings, Daniel Keeter and Lois Stansbury.  He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Morse and husband Thomas; son, Michael Keeter; grandchildren, Hunter Morse and girlfriend Alyson Weems, Hannah Morse, Victoria Keeter and Maddox Keeter; great-grandchild, Jackson Morse; and sisters, Evelyn Craddock and Ophelia Pearce.

The family will receive friends at his daughter’s and son-in-law’s home in Poquoson, Virginia on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
