Troy J. Starnes, Jr.
Troy J. Starnes, Jr., 71, of Hampton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born on May 30, 1950. Upon retiring as a painting contractor, Troy became a Master Gardener and operated a lawn care business.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Troy J. Starnes, Sr. and Virginia Starnes Buchanan. He is survived by his companion, Kathy Tunno; son, Troy “TJ” Starnes (Christine); sisters, Barbara S. Batts, Vivian S. Calhoun (Orville), and Loretta S. Zeitz (Richard); and brother, Michael S. Starnes (Linda) and their families.
We will cherish our memories of Troy. In keeping with Troy’s wishes no services are planned.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. I recall your mom speaking of him often when she worked for my dad at Roane’s radio and TV. May God be with you in the days ahead and leave with good memories.
