Sunday knew how to make light of any situation. She always diverted attention away from herself and aimed it towards other people. She was proud of her family and loved them dearly.

It has been our privilege to have both Sunday and Wayne as active volunteers for years in our food pantry at WOW Church. She worked long hours, riding with the driver to pick up food, deliver and distribute it, and then clean up afterwards. We are grateful to have spent time with her.

Sunday was a dear friend to Yolonda and I, she loved us like we were her family. She will be greatly missed and the Vines family will continue to have the Parfitt family in our prayers. We will miss her dearly and may God give the Parfitt family grace during this time of mourning.

I met Sunday at a women’s bible study over 20 yrs ago in Williamsport, Pa.. She was so honest and a matter of fact about God and I loved that about her. My heart is broken for your loss. Just know Wayne and family you are all in my prayers. She was truly a Gem in this world. Till we meet again in Glory my friend. Peace to you all 🙏❤️

It was a gift to know and work with Sunday at the food pantry. She and another volunteer would start singing an old song or jingle and set the room singing! Those happy moments will come again when we all meet in Glory. Prayers continue for Wayne, family, love you so much.

I first met Sunday at the Beechwood Pool. I will never forget how she smiled and greeted me anytime she saw me, making me feel welcome. She was a pillar in the community. We are all so saddened to hear of her passing. Our hearts and prayers are with her husband and family.

I did not know Sunday, but came across her obituary on Friday, June 17th, 2022, at 6:00 a.m.

However, her dad, Don Dorsett, was the dearest of Christian friends of mine, whom I worked with. I think of Don often and miss him very much.

Due to the divine providence of our loving God, just last night, I had a dream about Don which caused me to once again view his obituary.

Upon reading his obituary, I decided to look up some of his family on Facebook and learned of Sunday’s graduation to heaven. God truly works in mysterious ways.

So, to Sunday’s entire family, this 17th of June, 2022, please take comfort and celebrate that she is in the living arms of Jesus and is reunited with her wonderful dad. What a time they must be having right now!

Psa 116:15  Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
