Sophia M Kwiatek, 78, passed away at Riverside Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, after a short illness. A native of Newport News, VA, she made Hampton her home for over 65 years. She worked for Woodwards Drug Store in Downtown Hampton before the store’s closing and Phoebus for 10 years. Later she worked for Harrison & Lear starting as a housekeeper and later was promoted to Property Manager of Gateway Townhomes before her retirement after 22 years of service. She will be remembered for her customer service, can-do attitude, and friendly smile.

Sophia was preceded in death by her mother, Susan L Owens, her father Jesse T Owens, and her husband James Kwiatek. She is survived by her two sons, Chris W. Bradford of Harrodsburg KY (Melissa Bradford) and Michael T Kwiatek of Hampton VA, and one granddaughter Jesalyn M. Bradford of Harrodsburg KY.

A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park.
