Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Padrick (nee Wainwright), 58, died on February 27, 2021, in Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, Va. She was born on December 6, 1962, in Richmond, VA, to the late Harold Edward Wainwright, Sr. and the late Marguarite “Bogie” Wainwright (nee Kessler). In 1981, Sandy graduated from Freeman High School, Richmond, VA, and subsequently, in 1983 from Southern Seminary Junior College, Buena Vista, VA.

Sandy married Duane Alin Padrick, of Newport News, VA., on October 22, 1983, and spent the next 24 years as a supportive military wife and instrumental part of a U.S. Air Force military family. During their time in the Air Force, Sandy and Duane were stationed in Montgomery, AL, San Antonio, TX (where daughter Madison Alynn was born), Washington D.C., Naples, IT, Stuttgart, GE, and finally Newport News, VA.

Sandy’s “bubbly” personality made her a perfect match for her preferred employment as a bartender, most recently at the Langley AFB Bowling Alley. Sandy also rekindled her love of horses and continued training, riding, and showing to her heart’s content.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Bogie Wainwright, and father Harold Wainwright. She is survived by her husband, Duane Padrick; daughter, Madison Alynn Justice (Cory) of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Henley Justice; brother, Harold (Hal) Wainwright, Jr. (Roger Robillard) of North Chesterfield, VA; and step-mother, Marian Wainwright of Richmond VA.
