Patricia Paige Davis

Patricia Paige Davis, age 78, passed away in her home surrounded by her family late evening Sunday, April 24, 2022. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Newport News, VA, graduating from Newport News High School and going on to work in healthcare, retiring from Beacon Healthcare.

Patsi, the name that everyone called her, was a loving mother of three and a devoted wife to her husband, Dennis Davis of Pamplin, VA. She was heavily influenced by her Grandma Giddings (Corine Henley Giddings) to be a faithful, loving, and caring woman, always putting others first, and she incorporated that into being a wife, mother, and most certainly for her grandchildren. She met and fell in love with her husband and had a rock-solid marriage of 55 years, both sharing their value of family and starting their own. As a mother, she was generous, loving, and kind, instilling the importance of faith and Jesus Christ in each of her children and her grandchildren. She loved you without ever expecting anything back. She truly was an angel on earth. Tragically she lost her first child Denise Paige Davis, but that never wavered her love or faith. Her favorite way to spend any of her time was always with all her family.  She will be greatly missed, especially by her five grandchildren, who adored her with all of their hearts, Chandler Ryan Mullins, Brian Joshua Liverman, Bella Adele Liverman, Dennis Noel Davis III, and Harper Paige Davis.

Patsi was preceded in death by Crystal Davis, wife of Dennis Noel Davis Jr., Gene Hall, brother-in-law, and Christy Slate, sister-in-law.  She is survived by her husband Dennis Noel Davis, son Dennis Noel Davis Jr, daughter Dyan Noel Liverman and five grandchildren. Patsi is also survived by an inseparable sister Jeannie Hall, a loving brother Woodrow (Nancy) Slate, and cherished by her nieces and nephews Kelli (Russell, Georgia, and Luci) Rountree, Greg Hall, Leslie (Seth and Kendall), Woody (Sandra, Lane, Kyle, and Christy) Slate III.

We know that we can’t have you on this earth anymore, but we’re happy knowing you are reaping your rewards in Heaven and will keep your favorite memory verse always in our mind of Isaiah 40:31, so when we get weary or stumble or fall to remember those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, and they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Goodbye for now to a wonderful woman of God, and an adoring wife, mother, and Nanny.”

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 12:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, with interment following in Peninsula Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601
