Marian G. Davis

Marian G. Davis, 98, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022.  She was a native of Pittsylvania County and had been a resident of the Peninsula for 68 years.  Marian was a homemaker and a former member of Bethel Weslyann Baptist Church.  On Sundays, you would find her at the church as her faith was very important to her. Marian was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed having her family over for the holidays and cooking for them, especially at Christmas when she would make cakes, fudge, and homemade candy.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Davis, Jr., granddaughter, Carolyn M. Davis,  parents, Latisha F. Worley and David L. Gibson, two brothers Fred(aka Billy) Gibson and Marvin Gibson,  and four sisters Alma Kelly, Edna Rhoads, Evelyn Myers, and Delma Cothran.  She is survived by her daughter, Lori Pearman (Danny); four sons, Phillip E. Davis, Michael D. Davis (Pauline), Robert K. Davis (Sharon), and James G. Davis; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Parklawn Memorial Park.

    I remember Marian as the sweetest, kindest, lady in our church, Bethel Wesleyan Church. We loved her very much.
