Kimberly “Kim” White

Kimberly “Kim” White of Newport News, Virginia passed from this world on February 20, 2022, in The Bahamas, doing something she loved, scuba diving with her beloved husband Dennis. She was born Kimberly Sue Teubert, on October 28, 1970, on England AFB, Alexandria, LA to Thomas C. and Betty L. Teubert.  Kim graduated from Belleville East High School, Belleville, IL in June 1988 and entered the U.S. Air Force in December.  She was medically retired in July 1989.

Moving to Hampton Roads in December 1994, Kim attended ODU from 1995-96 for a computer science degree, but ultimately found her career path in the home mortgage field in the early 2000s. Growing from an assistant loan officer to one of the top mortgage bankers in the area and the top 10 percent of her company, Movement Mortgage.  She helped countless families achieve their dream of homeownership. Kim was also active in numerous local charities and community support programs with the Senior Angel Tree being one of her favorites to volunteer with every Christmas.

You could always find her planning her next dive, throwing a block party for her cul-de-sac, asking folks ‘what’s happening in your world?’, or driving her convertible with the top down and a lead foot on the pedal. In addition to scuba diving, she loved traveling, skiing, golfing, and kayaking just off her backyard, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren, Braydon, Emmie, and Lenora.

Kim was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Teubert.  She is survived by her husband, Dennis White of Newport News;  mother, Betty, and husband, Jerry Roberts of Harpers Ferry, WV; father Tom and wife, Candace Teubert of Yorktown, VA;  children, Samantha Bradshaw and husband, Bruno Rizzi Razente of Brasilia, Brazil, and son, Stephen Mayo of Newport News, VA; three brothers, Joseph Teubert and family of Poquoson, VA, Zachary Teubert and family of King, NC, and Jonathan Roberts and family of Inwood, WV; stepson, Eric White and family of Carrollton, VA; stepdaughter, Carly Mann and family of Hampton, VA; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs Buddy and Ginger.

The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church, 1021 Big Bethel Rd., Hampton, VA on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m.  For those who cannot attend, the service will be live-streamed at:  https://libertylive.church/livestream/ and can be accessed 10 minutes prior to the service beginning.  At a later date, she will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.

In lieu of flowers, help Kim’s kindness and compassion live on by making a donation to, or volunteering at, any of the organizations she so loved:  Peninsula Agency on Aging, Meals on Wheels with Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, or Stonewall Sports of Norfolk.

Though saddened beyond measure at the untimely and sudden loss of our beloved Kim, we will always remember she was the embodiment of ‘It is not the length of a life, but the depth of a life that is important.’  Rest well and know you are forever in our hearts, Sweet Angel.

“Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow.”   — Robert Louis Stevenson

I was shocked to hear of Kim’s untimely passing. I knew her through my work at a local law firm that does real estate closings. I have had many closings through the years where Kim was the loan officer. She was professional, kind and very good at her job. I was always glad to see her name as the loan officer on a closing I was working on. I knew things would go smoothly, or if there were problems, she would take care of them. She attended her borrowers’ closings to make sure they were comfortable or to answer any questions that might arise. Kim was highly respected in her field and will be dearly missed. My condolences to her family and friends. May God bless you all.

Kim was my Lender. She was so kind, so compassionate and most helpful. Her death stunned me, saddened me, and I only knew her briefly. May God comfort all who loved her.
