Jordan Elizabeth Brooks
Jordan Elizabeth Brooks, 44, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. She was a native of Newport News, recently lived in Gloucester, and had just returned to living in Newport News. Jordan was of the Catholic Faith and was a very caring person, always helping others.
As an animal lover, she had several pets including her cats, Melow and Malcolm, and her dog, Barkly.
Jordan was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Brooks, maternal grandmother, Sarah Hollen, maternal grandfather, Jesse Ward, and paternal grandparents, Gloria and Paul Brooks.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Green, J.C. Green, Tiffany Green, Sarah Elizabeth Green, and William Mathew Brooks; one grandson; sister, Megan O. Keith; Aunt Judy and Uncle David; her father, Paul O. Brooks; and numerous loving cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601 with a memorial service following at 1:00 p.m.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.

So sad to hear of Jordan’s passing, she was beautiful inside and out. My heart goes out to Jordan’s children and her sister Megan. Deepest sympathy to her loving family.
We all loved Jordan so much. Her death rocked the community. She was a vital part of our community and will be greatly missed.
