Jennifer Spigel

Jennifer Lynn Spigel, 38, passed away on April 28, 2021.  She suffered from various health issues, resulting in daily pain and discomfort for many years.  Through her pain, she tried to stay positive for her son and parents.  Family always came first.  

Jennifer was a member of Rodef Sholom Temple where for years she enjoyed performing with her mother in the Temple Annual Cabaret Fundraiser. During her teen years, Jennifer was very active in the Jewish community serving as president of her B’Nai Brith Girls Chapter, as well as officer positions in the local United Synagogue Youth Chapter.

Jennifer was active in tutoring Hebrew to younger children at the Jewish Community Center of the Virginia Peninsula.
She graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News where she was active in the Drama Club.  Jennifer worked in the sales and hospitality field for many years.  She did local modeling and participated in National Competitions in Virginia and Florida, winning trophies in various categories.

The joy of her life was her son, David, and she could never take enough pictures of the two of them.
Jennifer is survived by her son, David, her parents, Jeffrey and Bonnie Spigel, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021, in the Jewish Cemetery for the Virginia Peninsula.  Guests are required to wear masks and keep their social distance.  Donations can be made in Jennifer’s memory to Rodef Sholom Temple or a charity of your choice.
