Frances Pittiglio Briggs, 103, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, in Newport News. She was born in Washington DC and had been a lifelong resident of the Peninsula. Frances worked at Barbara’s of Warwick for over 40 years.  She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Ashley Briggs, daughter, Mary Frances, and son Ashley; She is survived by her loving son, Bobby Briggs, sister, Josephine Pittiglio, nephew Larry Pittiglio and niece Margaret Mary Teague.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with a funeral mass beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Peninsula Memorial Park.
