DeVaughn D. Hall, Sr.
DeVaughn D. Hall, Sr. aka “Cowboy” or “D”, a resident of Newport News, Virginia unexpectedly departed his early life on Monday, March 7, 2022. Born July 28, 1977, to Bernadette Hall and Bobby Brown, DeVaughn was a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He relocated to the Hampton Roads area at an early age where he attended the City of Hampton public schools. He was in JROTC while attending Bethel High School; he also played the violin with the Hampton University Orchestra. A little later, he was accepted to Old Dominion University (ODU) Honors College.
DeVaughn began his work career with West Teleservices and lastly with Newport News Shipbuilding where he worked as a Machinist for over ten years.
DeVaughn had many hobbies like playing pool, fishing and going for long drives but he enjoyed music the most. That was evident by how loud he would play his music and the display of his 505-CWBY license plate. He was a devoted fan of the Saints Football Team.

I was very sorry that DeVaughn left us so suddenly. He was a likeable and thoughtful person — slow to speak, but careful to listen. He was observant and kind. May God bless his family and all those deeply bereft. I will miss him. He truly was a genuine soul.
