Danguole Eugenia Pototzky
Danguole (Dee) Eugenia Pototzky, 75, mother, friend, and wife, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 17, 2022, after a two-year battle with colon cancer. Danguole was born on May 2, 1946, in Germany and emigrated to the states with her parents and brothers in September 1950 to Chicago, Illinois. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in biology in 1968 from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in Education in 1972 from Loyola University. She worked for Hollister Pharmaceuticals as a sales representative, married Tony Pototzky on October 3, 1981, and five years later became a homemaker. Dee loved her friends, reading about her family’s ancestry and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Eugenia Pazerunas as well as her brother. She is survived by her husband Tony Pototzky, son Anthony Pototzky Jr. and brother Remigijus Pazerunas.
The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, followed by a Funeral Mass at noon at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 100 Harpersville Rd., Newport News, VA 23601. Burial will follow the service at Peninsula Memorial Park.
