Charles “Cap” V. Moore, Jr.

Charles “Cap” V. Moore, Jr. 80, of Grafton VA, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022.  Cap retired from the Air Force in 1990, after 30 years of service.  He loved to work and continued his employment at the shipyard for 14 years, and 7 years at Busch Gardens.

Cap is preceded in rest by his parents, Charles and Pat, and a sister, Jane. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joanne; son Charles J. “Joe” of Richmond VA, daughters, Brenda, and Mindy of New Hampshire; sister, June of Mass; grandchildren: Jason, Heather, Zoe, Collin, Mason, Maya, Coco; great-granddaughters, Annaleigh and Adalyn; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Peninsula Funeral Home, on Monday, November 28 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with military honors.

Burial will be held later in Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your local food bank.
