Billy M. Brady

Billy M. Brady, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022.  He worked for ILA Local 862 for 38 years.  Billy was past District Deputy Grand Master for Masonic District 14B and was Past Master at Bremond Lodge No. 241 A.F. & A.M. and a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason.  He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family.  For years, he sponsored trophies for the MD tournament in Hampton.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents Fred Dewitt and Lillie Poole Brady, nine brothers and sisters, and son-in-law Tommy Coberly.  He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 67 years, Helen L. Brady, sons, Rick Brady and wife, Martha and Chris Brady and wife Debbie, daughter Teresa Coberly, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home.  Burial will follow, with Masonic Rites, at Peninsula Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.

    My dear Aunt Helen, cousins Rick, Chris & Teresa, it was an honor to have known Uncle Billy. What a privilege to have spent time with you all in Newport News. Granny & I talked about it for years afterwards. I will keep your family in my heart & prayers. May GOD bless you and grace you with peace. He was a fine man who adored his family and was adored by you. He left a wonderful legacy. I am so proud of him and you all. I love you.
