Benjamin D. Hahne

On January 10, 2022 Benjamin D. Hahne passed away, both suddenly and unexpectedly, while in West Virginia at the age of 23. Ben was a lifelong resident of Poquoson, an Eagle Scout, and a graduate of Virginia Tech. He recently began working at Warwick Mechanical Group. But these are not the things that defined who he was. Ben was a young man filled with compassion, who was deeply loyal and faithful to his family and friends, and who was committed to doing what needed to be done, at work and in his personal life, despite the cost to him. He will be remembered for his caring nature, his goofy character, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Dave and Cindy Hahne; sister, Nicole Taylor (Hunter); niece and nephew, Ever and Wilder, who always lifted his spirits; grandfather, Allen Love Sr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive guests from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Peninsula Community Chapel, 4209 Big Bethel Road, Yorktown, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.

Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.
