Gardening was her passion and she always made sure to feed the many birds that enjoyed her beautiful yard.

Our family is grateful to all the wonderful neighbors and friends that have been so kind to her over the years.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.

What a beautiful lady and true friend. My mom and I took many vacations with Ann over the many years. Dinners and great conversations. They worked together as well at the shipyard clinic. My mom had open-heart surgery 2010 and Ann came over everyday and spent the day with my mom taking good care of her. When my mom lost her parents, Ann was there to stay the night. What a true friend, what a kind lady she was. I lost my mother, Elizabeth just a few weeks after Ann’s death but heaven has them now and I can see them smiling. I hope their is a beach in heaven, because Ann was such a beach person. I’ll miss you and so glad I got to see you 3 or 4 times before you left us. Love you Ann, you are a special lady!
