Alice Mae Volhein Rosser

Alice Mae Volhein Rosser, 94, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and had been a Peninsula resident for 90 years. She retired as an Officer Supervisor from J.C. Penney. Alice was a proud graduate of Newport News High School, Class of 1945.

She was a member of Newmarket Baptist Church and Northampton’s Women’s Club, and was a fan of and supported her son’s, grandson’s, and great-grandson’s baseball games.

Alice was predeceased by her husband, H. Terrell Rosser, Sr., parents, A. Edward and Mary Horak Volhein, and two sisters, MaryLou Bishop and Pauline Healy. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl R. Ochsenfeld, and husband Chuck; son, Terry Rosser and wife Jackie; four grandchildren, Chad Ochsenfeld, Chris Ochsenfeld, Jamie Rosser, and Stacy Rosser Smith; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park.
