Biology at Kecoughtan and Phoebus High Schools.

Anne was preceded in death by her brother Clarence Clodfelter, Jr. and parents Clarence Sr. and Virginia Clodfelter.  She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Roy Tucker; her children Mike and Lee; daughter-in-law Sandra Tucker: two grandchildren Matthew and Alex; sister Jean Gulick;  and many nieces and nephews.

Anne lived across the street from my family for a long time (I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count). She and her family have been close friends for even more years than that! She always inquired as to how my family, my folks and my brother and sister were doing. When she asked, you knew she really cared about your answer. It wasn’t just a conversation starter. Both she and Roy have been beloved fixtures on our family street and although it broke my heart to sell my childhood home, she an Roy have been very welcoming to the nice young man who bought it to create his own family history. She was very active in Bethany United Methodist Church which was also my family’s church and she and the Church family were very supportive when my parents passed.

She was truly a good person, and she will be very much missed. Roy, Lee, Mike and family, we are so very sorry for your loss. You are in my family’s prayers.

I was saddened to learn of Anne’s passing. My love and prayers go to Roy and family in this difficult time.
Anne and I were Phoebus High Department Chairs for over sixteen years and “Phantoms” for many more
than that… a wonderful teacher and great friend.
